KoKo Kangaroo

During the school day we take brain breaks by getting up and moving!  I have a lot of fun watching the kids enjoying themselves!  Search KoKo Kangaroo on YouTube or go to gonoodle.com

Storybook Character Day!

Dr. Seuss' Birthday always kicks off Read Across America week.  To celebrate we had a special dress up day at Guy E. Rowe.

Jacob as a Terrible T-Rex

Gryphen as Jack from The Magic Tree House

The Kindergarten teachers dressed up!  Mrs. Penfold as Pete the Cat, Mrs. Plummer as Tigger.  Mrs. Gray as Mrs. Frizzle and I'm Pinkalicious!

Since I was dressed like Pinkalicious we had yummy pink cupcakes.  Hopefully no one turned pink!

Dr. Seuss Day!

Monday, March 2 was Dr. Seuss' Birthday.  To celebrate this famous author we made hats like the Cat in the Hat, listened to Green Eggs and Ham, and then got to eat green eggs and ham.  YUM!

Dr. Seuss is famous for his silly rhyming stories.  If you have some at home, get them out and revisit them.  You might be surprised...maybe your children can read them to you!
Mary Lou Burns, former SAD 17 teacher, reads to the kindergarten students.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss

Yummy green eggs!
