Visit from a Game Warden

Today a local Game Warden, Mr. Gray (Mrs. Gray's brother-in-law), visited the Kindergarten classes at Rowe. 

Part of his presentation was teaching us how to be safe outside.  A few things to remember...Don't go into the woods by yourself, wear a lifejacket in a boat, and make sure you are supervised while swimming.

Mr. Gray also shared information about Maine animals.  Several of these animals we will see when we go to the Maine Wildlife Park on our end of year field trip.  Everyone enjoyed see the animal pelts, bones, and feathers.

Field Day

We had the perfect weather for our field day on Friday.  What a blast we all had playing outside all morning.  Then after lunch we watched a Mad Science presentation and were treated to ice cream sundaes.  Yum!  A special thanks to our PTO for making our day so special!

Visit from Mr. Grant the Lobsterman

Mrs. Gray's father, Mr. Grant, visited our classroom today.  He taught about his job as a lobsterman. We enjoyed learning about boy and girl lobsters, we learned about their claws, and even got an elastic put on our fingers.  It was great to learn about lobstering!
